A more appropriate example will be the way to write the lowercase "q" in handwritten: in spanish the usage is to put a horizontal stroke trough the descending stem; in French it isn't done. Or the difference in shape of the lowercase "t" in traditional Irish style writting and in English, or the positionning of the diaresis dots in German and French, or the shape of lowercase cyrillic "t" in Russian and Serbian; or the two different shapes of latin "g" or latin "a", or greek "p".
