Maybe I wont bother anyway. It's amazing what a weekend and a rested pair of eyes can do. After fooling around a bit with camorama, cheese and luvcview the problem have all but vanished :) With "luvcview -s 640x480" the optia is stil jagged along thin diagonal lines, but the resolution makes up for it. I guess the optics in the Philips are probably better. Then I found the gconf key /apps/ekiga/devices/video/size and changed that from 0 to 1 (QCIF 176x144 to CIF 352x288) and performance i perfectly fine. Only regret now is that there is no microphone on them. Thanks for your attention :) Gaute _______________________________________________ Linux-uvc-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/linux-uvc-devel
