Forgot to mention: exactly for this purpose we have poky-tiny,
linux-yocto-tiny, and core-image-initramfs-tiny. When those are
available, I'd rather have the default choices approximate binary
desktop distros as closely as possible - give me a rich command line
experience with fullest support for whatever hardware there is.
