Roy, Thanks for your "tell it like it is" information. What database do you use? One of the reasons I am putting off going to *nix is that I use a database (MS Access 97) a lot and I want to continue to do so. I ordered the book you recommended. Also looked (briefly) at the guide you recommended: http://vitalbodies.wordpress.com/2008/09/05/what-windows-or-new-users-need-to-know-about-ubuntu-2/ it looks great and should help me a lot. I am about ready to change one of my computers to (probably) Ubuntu - dual boot. Any advice on that would be very much appreciated.
