I would say that they (Ubuntu) more than any other, has brought Linux to
the masses.  Mr. Shuttleworth thought out of the box, so to speak, with
many things, including his Code of Conduct for Developers.  It saves
ridiculous time wasters like three Debian developers arguing if the fact
that one put a vulgar insult about another inside  code comment is a
critical or minor bug.   (That's a true story by the way.)
