I used the Live CD for both. I have read similar experiences from other users elsewhere, so it isn't just me.

I am not sure why Mandriva is so slow. I'm intrigued. I have installed both distros on the same PC and partition without any major difference in install time (Did you use the Live Mandriva One CD or Mnadriva Free? There is more user input time on the Free version as opposed to the One version). I cannot understand what would slow it down so much. Just to mention that I think Mandriva One uses the same installer as PCLOS.. it looks very similar anyway. I personally prefer to install from boot as there is more user control, but I can appreciate the benefits of Live install. -- Steve Saxon __________________ Registered Linux User 448796 Current Up-time Stats: 18:04:01 up 29 min, 1 user, load average: 0.03, 0.09, 0.20 __________________ "Luke, I'm yer father, eh.
