No luck I'm afraid.
 
I got all the patches installed ok (after getting rid of the CRLFs in
the path files <grin>)

I have tried the other patch suggested by Jacques - also no luck.

No matter what I try, I can't seem to get the username to register in
wtmp when authenticating via pap (/AutoPPP/)...

I _can_ get it to work if the user first supplies a username via
terminal window, then authenticates via pap... but that defeats the
advantage of using the /AutoPPP/ function anyhow!

If anyone has this working with/without Linuxconf on RH 5.2 I would love
to hear from you ;^)
