It turns out that others have installed the rpm for redhat-4.x on
redhat-5.2 and this exhibits the problem you are withnessing. To check, do
rpm -q linuxconf --requires
If this shows libc.so.5, then you have the version for redhat 4.x. I will
make linuxconf smarter in this area and it will tell you if you have the
wrong version on a redhat 5.x system.
