Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode)

Sometime Today, Rajen Parekh assembled some asciibets to say:

Your lo interface probably hasn't started.  Check your network
configuration.

You may want to use a different mail gateway - one provided by your isp.

You don't need to do that.

if you use pine to send a mail, then pine will spawn a new sendmail
session using sendmail -bs even if sendmail is not running.

All I can say for now is check your network.  Can you ping 127.0.0.1?
