If ya r using RedHat run "linuxconf" & u can configure the lo(loopback
Adapter) as well as the Network deviceor ya N.I.C.(eth0..1..2..). Else in SuSE
its "yast" (YaST) .

Hey pal UR N.I.C. as well as LO rn't configured. U better read the help
from RedHat installation & setup guide.
They come along with every RedHat CD or check it out at www.redhat.com.
