dear suresh
u can open the xterm or konsole in X.
type su -
u will be prompted for root passwd
then u willl have root priveleges
type "control-panel " on the console & u will get control panel.
but i would advise u to find out which ups software has created the problem
& try to disable it first.as i havent used suse i cant tell u anything on
that.
