Er... I've experimented a bit with Dishnet systems; The idea is .. you have
loads of bandwith to the dishnet hub. You must set your router/gateway to
one that is specified by Dishnet. Wierd .. but if you ftp to a server within
the VSNL datacenter you can get pretty impressive download speeds. I've
managed to get 25-30k/sec at times;
Now all you need is a box running squid within VSNL's datacenter; (I've
tried. It works). The only problem is that VSNL charges people for bandwith
.. I mean dedicated servers located in the VSNL datacenter have about 10GB
of free bandwith per month. All additional bandwith is charged in theory.
The fun part: VSNL does not monitor how much bandwith is actually used. What
this means is that you can use 100gb a month and VSNL would never know.
