Hi all,
Am
learning my way around Linux (getting quite fond of it too !!) and want to
connect to the Internet. I have a US Robotics 56K Message Modem which works fine
in the Window 98 partition and the NT partition. Linux does not seem able to
sense the modem. Minicom just hangs before it gets to the "OK" !!
Could it be that this modem too is a "winmodem" ? ( I have been searching the
Net and cannot find anything that says the Message series will *not* work with
Linux) Is there any workaround for this ? Or do I have to invest in another
modem? :-(
