As you can see, the layout is far from ideal (;-) ! Its disgusting, i know,
but this is nothing compared to other episodes with this hard disk ! Now,
the problem is I use windows extensively, in fact, the data within the
partitions require the same drive assignments, w/o which the s/w refuse to
work(unless i do some brain transplant on the registry, and brain transplant
has not been done, ever, since replacing the brain requires replacing the
heart, the lungs, the spine, etc etc. its better left untouched ;-).
I tried using the last portion (2056 MB)at different times as FAT32, FAT32
LBA, FAT16 and ext2, but its position in the partition table changes and
then the windows portion refuses to load, and if windows doesnot boot, i
cant start linux also, since i use loadlin. I cant reformat the disk coz the
data is reqd. And, about 10GB of data cant be backed up, since i dont have a
tape drive.( i am a dependent home user, u see :-). So, any ideas, folks ?
