This is the help from Lotus notes....how can this be push technology ?

Telling Notes to notify you when you have new mail
You can tell Notes to beep, display a message in the status bar, and
display a dialog box when you receive new mail. (In addition, Notes
automatically changes the mail icon in the status bar to the Inbox icon
when you have new mail waiting.)
1. Choose File - Tools - User Preferences.
2. Click the Mail icon.
3. Select "Check for new mail every x minutes."
4. Fill in a number to indicate how often you want Notes to check for new
mail.
5. (Optional) Choose "Audible notification," "Visible notification," or
both.
6. Click OK.
Note If you do not want Notes to notify you when you have new mail,
deselect "Check for new mail every x minutes."

Dear Amit,
The push techology work beautifully in Lotus Notes, what it does actually
is any mail comes to lotus notes server for a particular user it
immediately send the message to that particular user so that we don't need
the check our message very often.

Good question !!
This mail is coming from Lotus Notes :-)
Tell me what u mean by push technology.
AFAIK the Lotus Notes client has to contact the server for every button
click.
If fact, in the mail settings u have to specify how often u want the client
to check the mail....

amit
