configure ipchains / ipfwadm to reject the calls made to identd daemon .

Subject: [ILUG-BOM] TCPIP Problems

Dear Friends,

I have observed, that when I set my Server TCPIP Address to some value, It
takes a lot of time on the client PC
to get the login prompt when I telnet.

for some other setting sof the TCPIP address on the server , this happens
instantly.
Nothing else, except the TCPIP address has changed.

When the Telenet Prompt takes a long time, other services such as HTTP and
Database listners work fine.

It seems that only services through inetd take time to start. However once
started, telnet works fine

Any clue ?
