This is not a good thing to on a well populated list. It may stop
spammers, but it'll also inconvenience users.
For example, I subscribe to the list using my personal address, but post
using my official one because Netscape is too dumb to understand
multiple outgoing addresses. If the list goes closed, I will have to
choose between subscribing using my official address and risk clogging
the mail server, or go into Netscape preferences and change my address
to what's appropriate for the list/person I'm mailing.
Please do not suggest that I switch to a "more intelligent" mail client.
I need to do IMAP because I multiboot, and also handle HTML mail, and
Netscape has the only sane implementation of both that I've seen
anywhere in Linux.
