Use up all the bandwidth? Your 4200rpm HDD will definitly have problems!

Anyway yeah firewire works fine, just enable in kernel (or whatever your OS of choice prefers you to do)

I'm planning on getting an external harddrive (another 2.5") because
I've used up all my 80GB. Anyways, I'm curious as to if firewire is
working on these laptops (mines an r3190us), because I have nothing
really to test with and don't want to end up with a firewire drive that
doesn't work. Oh the reason for going with firewire is because I could
use two drives, one firewire and one usb2.0 to use up all the bandwidth
available =-).
