Okay, I understand. I've seen the curves before, but didn't know how to 
interpret them. Having looked at them again, I think I understand now 
what they're showing.

Woah, thanks for the fast response! Unfortunately, though, it's still 
not working for me.

I did "cvs update -d -P" in the libgig directory. I then re-built libgig 
("./configure"; "make"; "sudo make install"), then re-built gigedit 
followed by LS in the same way. I restarted the machine as well, just in 
case, but the problem was still there.

I've also tried checking out the libgig rather than using the update 
command. Now, when I try "./configure" I get "No such file or directory" 
and can't get any further.

Apologies for my newbishness, but what am I doing wrong?
