Jason,

You can try Linpus at first, see how it fits your needs, and then
after that try another distros with it. Reinstalling it with another
distro will give you more experience as to initial configs, installing
programs, etc etc. I suggest you start with Ubuntu, as it's easier,
and then if you're in for some challenge, go with Slackware :p

I've never used or heard of this Linpus distro, but the Xandros that
comes with the Eee pc is crap, IMO.
