My recollection is he does have X enabled. We spoke this morning but I was in the middle of a project and couldn't give him as much time as I would have liked. My missing piece of information was the name of the package including apxs. Joel Witherspoon gave us that gem. And I didn't know about the lamp-server meta package. That would be a great install. For those who've never heard me say it or who've never written where I wrote it, we use CentOS on our webservers, but we use the "CustomBuild" system for building our hosting stack. CustomBuild is built into DirectAdmin, the hosting management system we use. It enables us to specify versions, upgrade, downgrade, etc. But it _is_ fairly DirectAdmin specific.
