I'm not putting it down. I'm concerned that the ubuntu folk released kde 4.4 
as stable when in fact it isn't close (I'm not the only one complaining). 
While that's got nothing to do with servers and server stability, it does give 
me some concern over the Ubuntu team and the Ubuntu process.

The reason we use CentOS is both historical and rational:

Historical: I always used Red Hat on servers in the past; I know it's ins and 
outs fairly well.

Rational: the commercial hosting management systems I use on my servers is 
developed on CentOS and everything else is a port. Even though the software 
runs on (and vendor supports it on) Debian and Ubuntu server installations, I 
feel that I get faster updates, more committed developers, and more 
experienced support responses, when I use the software on CentOS.

Yes, Randall, you don't have to tell me again to use an LTS system <smile>.
