To those that responded... John,
Not sure why the USB stick has faster downloads in the router. My guess is that there is something funky about the TCP stack in Windows. Jeff, Clearwire's financial problems are a huge joke. http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/howto-install-ntp-to-synchronize-server-clock/ http://community.sprint.com/baw/message/227935 Also, I paid about $79 for the Cradlepoint from Best Buy. The USB stick by LG was the $100 after rebate. Chuck Daddy "Wy-Fy", Clearwire may seem to work now in certain areas (Austin, Seattle, certain areas in SoCal, etc), but if they really want to grow to that next level (and do it fast), then they will need to switch to LTE e.g. http://www.intomobile.com/2011/03/03/sprint-if-we-do-decide-to-go-with-lte-we-can-cover-america-by-the-end-of-2013/ Dino, Troll on about Sprint / Clearmax's WiMAX strategy. They've now got old Wimax basestations, along with LTE (in the future). I think they were stuck with WiMAX due to their relationship with Intel (who is a big WiMAX supporter). If I remember right, when they were no longer using Intel's money, they got smart and started rethinking their dependence on WiMAX and possibly switching to LTE. _______________________________________________ LinuxUsers mailing list LinuxUsers@socallinux.org http://socallinux.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linuxusers
