Taken as such; heck I've probably been using Unix since longer than some of us have been alive. > And yet, when he is looking for something as simple > as a good e-mail client (with a GUI - like normal humans use), he runs into > problems. I'd love to find a different MUA (client) besides KMail that uses Maildir. While I certainly know who designed Maildir, and his reputation for thinking outside the RFCs, I simply believe that with Maildir he got it right. (Dan Bernstein, by the way; the guy also responsible for qmail, which I hate about as much as I love Maildir.) > Some of us, just want the stupid GUI and compiler and e-mail client and > chat client and whatever else to *just work* so we can go out and code > useful stuff that will help people get their things done. That's almost exactly me; my desktop computer needs to just work so I can just work on the servers I'm paid to maintain, and the ones I need to maintain so I can host my customers. I really don't care about Software Center vs Synaptic; I just don't like change which requires relearning.
