More power to 'ya. I went stark raving mad with openSuse. The update manager was mind-bendingly slow, and the package manager didn't have enough software in it for me. I'm told there are ways to optimize it, but it took my fastest workstation to a crawl even worse than Vista (even with prefetch!). If you can make suse work, go for it! But be warned, some of us have had recurrent "issues" with suse. I say recurrent because I gave it two tries before throwing in the towel on two separate occasions. Moral of my story: DO NOT JUDGE LINUX BY YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH JUST ONE DISTRO!!! Linux is the best OS in the world because there are so many distros! If you don't like one, try another. There's literally something there fore everyone! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Linux Users Group.
