Doug, I agree but *buntu has taken over the user base by storm. I run Debian which means I automatically loathe most things Ubuntu-esque. I initially thought HOW LAME...this is what these Ubuntu guys think about...but then I watched the video...went to the site and looked at the guys other offerings. He's surely not the typical Ubuntu user. He's pretty awesome. It should be titled how to make Gnome look like XP, still sorta lame(LOL)but more accurate. Ubuntu is not Gnome.
Most places you go, there will be a Ubuntu majority. I was at OSCON this year in San Jose. There were little badge tags that said PERL, PYTON, LINUX, etc. The only distro that had a badge was UBUNTU...OSCON is arguably the largest and longest Open Source conference in the US(the most expensive too, it runs 1 full week).
