Apply LVM to your / ( slash ) partition.

Sudhir,

Anup's solution is one way to resolve your issue. However, we need to
understand why you are in such a situation? Why is slash 93% full? In
most cases, it is OK to have slash at 93% provided it does not extend
any more. The fact that your application is complaining about space in
slash during installation means you do not have a dedicated /usr
partition. Ideally, you would want to have dedicated usr, tmp, var,
opt, home + any other app-specific partitions created so you don't
populate slash. If you already do, run a du -sh * | sort -nr in slash
to see what is occupying so much space.

And extending filesystems is the very reason we have a wonderful
feature called LVM.
