I'm using Linux kernel 2.6.18 and have installed the Wacom driver
(0.7.6-4) for my Intuos3 6x8 tablet into the system as a module. I
haven't tried configuring the tablet buttons, and I haven't yet made
the mouse work, although I suspect its issue is related to my stylus
issue.

Basically, no motion events are detected unless the stylus tip or
eraser are in physical contact with the tablet. This of course means
that "click and drag" is impossible, since my clicking and dragging is
necessary for simple motion.

The mouse is also not working: motion events are not registered at
all, but all click events are.

I had no troubles compiling/installing the driver and associated
software bits, and have seen no errors in /var/log/messages or
/var/log/Xorg.0.log.

In the InputDevices section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf, I used the default
settings listed in the project HOWTO.

What should I be looking for, in order to fix this? If any further
configuration information for my system is required, please let me
know.
