I suggest we all work together on creating a big file of test
email addresses.
It is easy for me to contribute say a hundred test addresses
(on multiple domain names, on multiple mailservers) that all
forward to /dev/null - I'm sure that many others here can do
the same, so we should be able to quickly put together a
reasonably big file of test addresses.
I'm willing to set up a little CGI program which collects
contributions of such test addresses and then emails a request
for confirmation to the postmaster address at the mailserver(s)
that are in charge of those addresses. (A variant of
"subscription confirmation"/"double opt-in" that is suitable for
test addresses that are set up to forward to /dev/null.)
Postmasters who have contributed test addresses (and confirmed
them) can afterwards download the whole file of test addresses.
What does everyone think about this idea?
Greetings, Norbert.
