Glad you asked ~J (Congrats, by the way!  And make sure she stays away from the resin dust when you are making the kits!  Toxic stuff.)

I stumbled upon this site that I think might be of interest to you:

As for the modeling compound, it's poly putty, much like Bondo that the use on cars.  You can get really high on that stuff if you are not careful.  I almost cut my fingers off years ago without realizing that the stuff was so strong.

What kits do you have?

Hmm....question for the more experienced modellers in the group....is he joining resin kit pieces together with modelling compound?  If so, is that then enough to hold the kit together when the compound dries?  Would you epoxy or superglue the pieces together first if you could?  What kind of modelling compound would you use for something like that.  Any of the modelling compounds at Micromark.com would suffice I think?  After it dries you sand-->primer--paint correct?

I have several really nice Gundam resin kits gathering dust and yeah looking at his pics, I've been bitten by the bug to do some modelling.  I only have about 8 or 9 months of freedom left now  ;)  I've never done the resin kits as I have no experience with them and wasn't sure where to begin, but looking at his page where he assembles the helicopter; the light-bulb finally went off...

TIA!
