Boaz private mailed me about the snap-construction review of Tachikoma on the HK webzine Model Village. http://www.modelvillage.net/review/model/tachikoma/index.html The author refered to the fully realized cockpit on HJ, this must be it. It's nice to see a reality-check from the "vegetarian" build on the HK site and the pro results of Musuke-san. Indeed ALL AWE inspirting, he built every single freaking variants, a couple of Arm-suits (can't recognize the "Land SDF Arm-suit"...), the Chopper (from ep.1 of 2nd Gig right? or the movie?), the Multi-Legged Gun Platform (Appleseed!) and then the kitchen sink. The Chinese review noticed that the runners are arranged such that it would be easy to release a plated or chromed version in the future. Well I can't remember the last time Wave released a plated or chromed kit, but there's gotta be a first for everything right? I just wouldn't be holding my breath. Anyway unless HGUC keeps up with bad guys releases for the whole year, I think I can fit a second Tachikoma (2800 Yens?) within the budget :P BTW Boaz, I disagree that Tachikoma is meant to be plated or chromed. It's always shinny and buffed (just like everything else in SAC), but it's not plated like Type-100. Nevertheless, a chromed Tachikoma would look very cool indeed. If you've only seen 5 mins of GITS, then you should definitely watch SAC. Tachikoma isn't a "lead" or hero char so much, but played some roles in the "Complex" arc, especially vs. the "Naval SDF Arm-suit" http://homepage1.nifty.com/musuke/kou_armsuit.html Both Syl and I held back a tear when we watch that episode. The last time I get emotional about anime was probably the last episode of 0079. WAIT A MINUTE... These Tachikoma were all finished in 04-05, so they have nothing to do with the Wave kit.
