I always understood it to be one car length for every ten miles per
hour at which you are traveling. So if you're going 30, three car
lengths, whereas if you're going 60, it's six car lengths. And yes,
you do strike me as someone who would tailgate. (I'm kidding :P)


3 cars' length in 30miles/hr? no way in hell in this southern city I live in. Max 2 car space for 70mi/hr in a 55mi/hr highway every single day. And I'm the good driver here already and just keeping up with the traffic.
