G00! I predict for Q4 2007 and most of 2008, we will see a big
retreat from UC. MG F91 is already finished, Victory Gundam is a no
go and MG Turn-A is a one-off. HGUC and MG First Gundam is finished.
And Z/ZZ will be humming at a minimal level. I have huge respect for
Seiji Mizushima, but it's still clear G00 is a merchandise friendly
series. Out of UC if you don't see your fave designs by Q3, expect to
hold your breath for another 18 months.

I think that Bandai will be churning out First Gundam version 2 kits for a
while to come.

I think Victory will come at some point if for no other reason that they are
always looking for Gundam designs for MG releases. The only reason that I
think Turn A beat Vicroty to the punch was because they needed to make the
Turn A into an "event" kit if they were ever going to release it at all.
The #100 timing fit it perfectly. If they didn't make it an event kit and
get it all hyped up, it might've bombed.

HGUC will still go on because it is the one line that is NOT predominantly
First Gundam. I think that HGUC is the future of the more obscure UC Gundam
designs that aren't limited by scale (such as Victory or F91).

G00 will definitely take a significant focus, but I don't think it will
squash out UC by a long shot. As much attention as Seed and Destiny got,
they didn't derail the HGUC line, and they only got a few of the MG slots.
I predict that G00 will get its own 1/144 line and 1/100 line with a few MG
releases just like Seed and Destiny.
