There is a small Gunpla store in Mtl that orders bulk from HLJ. I typically
get my kits there.

Because I know the owner, he gives me the kits almost at his costs so it
works out the same. Plus, I don't have to play the Canadian Customs lottery
where they may decide to slap additional taxes and tarifs on an overseas
order.

I shop from HLJ also. I usually time my purchase if dollar to yen is at
least 1 to 110, which is the case rightnow.
I do notice shipping is cheaper if I can get SAL, the problem is HLJ
automatically do EMS if the value of the order is over 200000 yen. So large
expansive item will always cost almost 40% more shipping ex the 1/350 scale
starship yamato kit from Bandai.
The days of putting 1 large order to save shipping form HLJ is long gong.
