Having watched a translation just though I'd clear up a few things.
1) Schonberg was in suspended animation awaiting the arrival of a new
world. Obviously Corner woke him a little early with a lead alarm clock
- which triggered a message that results in TRANS-AM being unlocked.
Basically he says "This message is because an evil person is here so the
plan has failed. I'm letting the Meisters loose hoping they share my
ideals."
2) When Ali meets the Trinities he says his sponsor sent him. Johannes
asks him "Laguna?" and Ali replies "Oh, you mean Laguna Harvey? I killed
him". Johannes observes that Ali can't be moving the Zwei without
Michael's biometric data and he must have a connection to Veda. That
makes me think Corner or Ribbons is Ali's sponsor.
3) Wang did warn Johannes that the HRL was returning but the
conversation started with Johannes asking for Wang's help in returning
to space.
