Yes, he should have whacked Ali. The fact that he cut Ali's sword into four
pieces, but didn't blow up Ali himself is a bit odd...

There's still time for that at the start of the next episode, but I doubt it'll
happen.

The fact that the TRANSAM system was only activated after Schoenberg apparently
died is why I suggested in an earlier e-mail that I doubt that the body was
really Schoenberg. Instead, I'm of the opinion that it was a fake or trap
meant to draw out possible enemies. If Schoenberg really did put himself into
cold sleep, then I'm convinced that he's hidden somewhere else.

I guess I've got a little more faith in Setsuna than you do. Not much, most
likely, but a little more. For instance, I don't believe he'd blow up
Azadistan if Schoenberg were to direct him to do so. Though Sumeragi might be
able to convince him to. But the dream seems to suggest that Setsuna's
humanity is slowly returning.

And I wouldn't really be surprised if the storyline ended with a rejection of
Schoenberg's overall plan. The mass deaths forecasted by Sumeragi (who
indicated earlier that she isn't entirely comfortable with the deaths), coupled
with the increasing callousness of Wang, seems to hint that Schoenberg's plan
isn't necessarily a good thing. The need for Tieria to develop some humanity
and independence of his own also seems to suggest to me that the tone of the
story might move away from a blind adherence to Schoenberg's plan.

Or at least that's my thinking.

I actually watched the sub on Sunday night. It's amazing how fast a
good quality sub can come out. But blah. My concerns and complaints
from all previous episodes are validated in Ep.22

At least we get some clarification now. Corner is the bad guy. (his
deference to the Observers might have been deceptive (to the audience)
or deceitful (to the Observers)) Aerolia is the good guy who's still
neither completely dead nor really alive. Is the G00 ending going see
the Second Coming of Aeolia Schenberg? Are the Seven Gundams the
Seven Angels (Celestrial Beings) who pour seven vials of the wrath of
God upon the Earth?

You know I still found Corner and al Sarshe (who's clearly a Corner
crony) to be relatively how to say, unhateful. I am less scared of
them than Schenberg and Setsuna. Corner and al Sarshe are greedy,
brutal (Ali) or power-hungry (Corner). Those are familiar villains,
history is filled with them. They do their bad nasty things, some of
them will get their just desert, some won't but no matter what, time
will take their lives away, and the world will survive (and sadly will
still see more of them being born).

But with Schenberg, you don't know what really will happen. His
God-like complex is freaking scary. And I am now getting rather
concerned with Setsuna having this TransAm thing and presumably he can
now cut down all 30 GN-X if his actually stays sane for 5 consecutive
minutes. He is now quote-Gundam-unquote. He is Lord Schenberg's
Angel of Wrath, oops sorry I mean Angel of Peace. Please I feel can
trust Nena more than Setsuna.

The Trinity are pawns (well now a lone pawn that ironically requires
escort by a king, ok, Angel).

Ok... actually all that's fine. I haven't started complaining yet, really.

This whole sequence of Lasse broke into Level 7 and Corner shot a
Schenberg rubber chicken just as Schenberg's boy-under is almost
finished off by his personal archnemesis while trying to rescue the
last of Croner's pawns who was also not-so-long-ago his other
archnemeses (and enforced first-kisser) from that previous archnemesis
who also happens to be Corner's crony carrying out Corner's order to
kill off Corner's pawns so Corner can get Corner's toys back (or
else!), but Schenberg having got his rubber chicken shot up now turn
on boy-wonder's berserk mode and saves his life, but a boy's still a
boy. He spent so much time playing with his Matrix-bullet-dodging
moves that he forget there this wonderful chance to TAKE THAT FREAKING
REVENGE ON ALI ALREADY.

OK I admit I can be full of myself at times, but if I ever build a
super weapon, I wouldn't wire up the activation switch to turn on if
and when my grave is defiled. Oh wait, but wait, that's so
megalomanical that no one could expect so it's actually a brilliant
plan! Because whatever that's surprising is brilliant!
