Hi Jim -- I respectfully disagree.
I am certain that there are very competent ICANN BoD Candidates that
will step up to the plate if we can have an open nominating process
just using open Internet mailing lists to run the process and select a
new set of "interim" members.
And, this will be even easier if the bylaws are shnaged to call for
open meetings, and the new members are selecting knowing what is
expected.
