Can you offer a graph of NSI's cost burden to plot against the 
number of registrations since then? (Look at, for instance, Tony R's 
chart at http://www.genmagic.com/internet/trends/ which, sadly, is 
somewhat out of date but might give us an idea.)   If I were you, I'd 
not harp on the numbers of names you have to juggle.
