What actually happens when you click on a link. Just nothing, like
they're dead? Can you write a simple index.cfm (one that has nothing to
do with your current site), and put some links in it. Do those work, or
are they dead too?

Loyd, are you perhaps missing the :8500 after localhost (or 8080 if you're
using BlueDragon)? That could be the source of the trouble.
