I was lucky to win the "Apollo for flex developers" (O'reily book) at
the meeting the other night, and I saw that you can do that. Oh so
many ideas floating in my head. . .
Have you seen he ebay demo using AIR? They go through all the stuff
you need to do to auction an item offline. then they plug into a
network and it's uploaded to ebay and the auction went live. pretty
sweet.

Even in that case you would need the server check if the images are
going to live on the server only. With AIR, you could check a local
directory or on the server. Its pretty easy :)
