<yawn/> Nothing to see here.... This is hardly the first, nor will it be the last of these articles. I have seen them off and on for the past 8 years, and ColdFusion has had tremendous growth in that time.
@Walt - There was some early criticism that has persisted due IMO to the fact that ColdFusion is easy to learn. You would think that was a good thing, and it is to some degree, but the negative is that it is easy to write very bad applications! I think that there were a number of poorly written applications early on that helped create a perception that ColdFusion applications are not very scalable and do not perform well under load, etc. I think that is also coupled with the fact that programmers by and large are elitists at heart. If some noob can pick up a programming language and start writing immediately, it has to suck! ~Dave On 7/13/07, Walt Kimbrough <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
My question to those of you who have dealt with CF for more years than myself: What's with the antagonism toward CF? The articles I've seen that say this same thing rarely seem to use objective info to back anything up, just ".Net and PHP have passed it by" or somesuch. Am I missing something? Sorry for opening this can of worms further...
