I agree in terms of ease of use when providing a prebuilt lib. But there are two downsides: 1. It bloats the git repo unnecessarily (not a huge problem in my opinion). 2. The build/commit workflow has to be done manually by every developer that commits a change. Some may forget to build, which will lead to inconsistencies.
