Sjoerd, you are right on.   Shaz, if you want to use a good distortion/overdrive pedal, you need a noise-gate... then a good mixer, good grounding, and some other stuff.   If not, then I say forget any pedal or effects...????  (maybe just sample, I think that is okay too, if one would like)  Oh the beauty of the TB-303 and its never-ending antics.................
