So I've been doing some reading and am pretty stumped. What kit does the whole 303 population seem to like the most? I feel a little overwhelmed here, generally because I don't like the thought of changing my 303 much, but am willing to do it. Will the Borg mod change the original sound? The samples they have on their website sound funny.

they do , but the midi data has to come from your computer into the 303, so for this you must have c.v & gate inputs on your 303. the unmodded 303 only has c.v & gate outputs. so you must have inputs added to your 303 inorder for it to recive the info from your computer.

Interesting, thanks guys.
So here's why I'm confused: Why do the Kenton kits say that they convert from CV to MIDI when you guys state that other mods are required? I feel like I'm missing something here.

if you plug the din sync in from your 909 half way into the din sync in on your 303, you can use the 303 as the master and sync it to your 909. thats what i do anyway.

As far as I know there is no "standard" mod at the moment that will output
cutoff/reconance.
Sure it's possible, but you're going to have to find somebody willing to
work out the mod. Most likely not worth it, just tweak the knobs yourself.
Syncing to your 909 can be done with the kenton pro solo, or any other midi
to din sync converter.
Just look at the devilfish and borg mods, or the kenton socket kit, and see
what options they give you.
