from TB-303 resources mailing list -------[ http://www.tb-303.org ] ---------------------- Sorry, but have you ever tried an unmodded 303 besides a Midi controlled 303. The main power of the 303 is the sequencer. The sound can easily done with another synth.
Why would I ever want to bypass the unique feature of a 303? I most of the time use my 303 to sequence my modulars or 101. That's why I've bought a 303. If I want a 303ish sound and full midi control and a step sequencer (where you can switch from write to play mode while playing), I would definitely not buy a devil fish, but a FR-777. Never ruin beautiful gear! my 2 cents.
