It's been a while since I've used Flash in anger (as a developer), so I
could be suffering from memory fatigue here, but I'm pretty sure you *can*
make text in Flash selectable. It's just not the default. Perhaps someone
who uses it more regularly than I do these days can confirm (or deny) this.
You can. Just look at any use of sIFR without linked text... you can
highlight the text and copy it.
The feature itself is not so well implemented though... it's sort of
slow and choppy compared to highlighting basic HTML text, but it's
there.
