Have you tried fetching the mailbox list manually? In the FAQ, under this question: Q: How can I check that Binc IMAP is set up correctly? There are some guidelines so you can check wether it's Binc or Mozilla that causes the problem. Notice the "LSUB" and "LIST" commands.
