I'd say that one-way itemized travel compensation is common. What matters is - however its rated - is that your total travel is properly compensated for within your overall billing. I consider one-way travel itemization a sales gimmick, to make it look like the client is getting something for free.
I find all sales gimmicks to be odd. -- Espi On Thu, Apr 16, 2015 at 5:21 PM, J- P <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi all, > > This is totally off topic (TOT) for MS, but I'm sure many can > relate/respond; > > I just started doing contractor work for a new provider, and I've just > realized that for travel time they only pay travel time TO THE SITE, not my > return trip and the travel rate is 50% of the hourly rate. > Every trip thus far has been at least 50 miles EACH WAY, (100+ miles round > trip),just the other day I had a 180 mile day. > > I'm just wondering, does this sound normal/typical, or does this strike > anyone as "odd"? > > > > Any comments/feedback would be appreciated > > >
