Mike,

I looked through the NHRA rulebook quickly and they don't say much about bodywork. I know I read somewhere about not having bodywork on the sides of the rider so egress wasn't a problem. Guess anything you'd see on a typical drag bike would be OK. Bodywork has frustrated me. I can't seem to come up with anything custom that looks nice. I've done some fiberglass, but it didn't have a professional look whatsoever. The lexan I'm running now is very quick and easy, and looks as good as anything else I've done. Guess it's about aerodynamics, not looks. Well, more about aerodynamics anyway.

I bet they're pretty darned important. The faster you go the more important they get. I don't know the numbers, they're in a book I have around here, I'm sure. But I do remember that the faster you go resistance increases exponentially. (I know you knew that already but this goes into the archive and someone years from now my not. Plus, it makes me look smarter than I am.)

What do the NEDRA rules say about bodywork? In roadracing there's rules like the bodywork can't cover the front wheel, can't enclose the rider, etc.
