Here's a noob question:

It appears that it may be valuable for me to run a motor at 120V, more or less, yet the ultralight vehicle I am researching can't carry 10 Pba reg-size batteries.
Are there smaller lighter Pbas, like gel cells for instance, that will handle 
the deep-discharge demands of an EV?
Other than Lithiums, is there another option?

Just trying to figure out which options to consider...
